    Description

Offered is a rarely encountered with what appears to be an ebony handled tool with a unique head. Tools such as this were found with high end 19th -20th century English & American percussion rifles, shotguns, pistols, and revolvers. These tools may have also been found in use by the Confederacy at the outbreak of the Civil War among personal sidearms of Confederate officers. I’m not familiar with this type of tool so please examine it before bidding.
The pictures I’ve included of cased sets (pictures #4-12) reflect examples of how these tools were paired, whether with Colt, Deane & Adams, Tranter, and everywhere in between up to exquisite Gastinne-Renette or A. Zoller percussion dueling/target pistols sets. The list abounds for fine 19th century rifles or shotguns as well.
This tool is original and intact and a perfect complement to an exquisite percussion firearm, kit of an antique gunsmith, or collector. Some of these tools are also used by collectors/conservators of antique bullet molds to safely take apart and oil/protect invaluable molds. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to acquire it in this condition!
Pictures of the individual item listed (first 3 pictures) are of exactly what you’ll receive.
Closely review the pictures provided for details about condition, type, period, etc. This would also make a great gift for the collector of Civil War era, Confederate items, reloading/black powder antiques, or early rifle & reloading tools!
I ship worldwide; please if your county isn’t an option message me.
Please check out the multiple auctions I’ve listed which includes rarely found high end cased set tools (for percussion pistols, rifles, and revolvers), 19th century cartridge extractors, wad punches, cartridge sizers, bullet molds/moulds, early 1800s-Civil War US buttons, etc!
Please note that the cased set pictures and firearms with tools are examples of the high end configurations with these tools and are for reference only (ie the cased sets, rifles, etc are not included in the listing).
