Essex 1910 to 1920 1" Sewn Web Horsehide Baseball Glove Adult Size

One inch web gloves are generally accepted as dating to the 1910 to 1920 time period. This fielders glove was made for a right handed thrower. It is an adult size and easily fits on a large hand like mine. It has leather piping and a 1" sewn web. The leather is soft and pliable but very well worn with some distress and scaling on the front of the thumb and web. The inner liner is creased and worn but intact and also soft and pliable. The maker appears to be Essex or Essex International as the stamping is also well worn but readable. GENUINE HORSEHIDE is also stamped in the pocket area.   Nice example of a sewn web glove and nice for display but please review the photos thoroughly as well as this description which details the condition of the glove.
