    Description

    Antique Victorian  (1840-1860)  18ct Snake Pendant with rose gold, green gold and yellow gold.  This piece is from the Romantic period of the Victorian era 1837-1860.  It  features  a snake that is slithering through leaves and branches made of green, rose, and yellow gold. There are two amethysts representing flowers or possibly fruit growing from the  leafy plant and  also the snake has two small ruby eyes . On the bottom portion of the pendant there is a hanging pearl attachment. The pendant is 42mm in length including the bale and 17mm wide . I believe this piece is  a fully handmade piece which was common in this era .  Possibly the bottom is not original to piece but if not  works well with it.
